After China, Philippines May Be Next to Approve GM Rice

Reuters reports that the Philippines may approve GM rice as early as 2011.  This follows China's decision to approve phytase GM rice in 2009. 

According to Robert Zeigler, director general of the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), the Philippines is one of the world's largest rice importers.
