Uganda's GM Drought Tolerant (DT) Maize Field Tested to Begin in Nov. 2010

Researchers at the National Crops Resources Research Institute (Nacrri) have received approval from Uganda's National Biosafety Committee at the Ministry of Agriculture to begin planting field tests of Water Efficient Maize for Africa (WEMA).  These will be located in Namulongeat MubukuIrrigation Scheme in Kasese District
