2012-2015 Yemen food security plan
discussed with FAO
A medium term plan for the next three years for Yemen food security is under discussion between the government Yemen and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). At the 31st session of the FAO Regional Conference for the Near East (NERC31), FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva sat down with Yemen Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Farid Mujawar to review the Yemen food security plan. The FAO will continue to place Yemen food security at the top of the FAO priority list in the Near East. On its part, Yemen will support decentralization and reforms, especially those related to promote food security.
