In India Packaged Rice Is Big

In 2012, India led the Asia-Pacific region with the introduction of the most new packaged rice brands. New products doubled between 2011-2012 with over 200 new launches in 2012 alone. Across the region, India accounts for more than 50% of all new introductions compared to 10% for Vietnam, 8% for Thailand, 7% for Malaysia, and 6% for Australia.
