FoodNavigator - Juice Market Under Siege in North America

Food Navigator article dated 8 April 2013 reviews changing consumer tastes and trends in the North American juice market.  Interesting to note:

* orange juice still accounts for 50% of the market
* consumers are confused by mixed health messages about calorie and sugar content
* consumers want to reduce sugar content but don't like acidity
* consumers find it hard to distinguish between pure juice and other (e.g. blended nectars)
* North America accounts for 33% of global volume
